Hello All,
I have recently joined FIS Global around end of April. My mother recently met with an accident and she needs to be operated.
I haven't been able to update the anything regarding the insurance part yet on FIS portal.
Will my mother's treatment be covered under the insurance? If yes, what's the procedure for the same? What are the documents that I need to submit in order to claim the amount?
Can anyone please guide?

A quick Google search says yes, although you’d probably need to talk your OB through your birth plan, and it might not be recommended to deliver before 39 weeks unless medically indicated
I scheduled a C section in VA at 38 weeks due to gestational diabetes and suspected fetal macrosomia (and baby was very nearly 9 lbs 2 weeks early). If I could have had an uncomplicated natural birth, I would’ve loved to. C section recovery whooped my butt—remember, it’s MAJOR abdominal surgery and they expect you to manage the pain of 7 layers of surgery with just Tylenol and Advil and somehow recover while taking care of a newborn (and, if you’re breastfeeding, feeding baby every hour or two throughout the day).
Also, I’m 7 months postpartum and my C section scar still randomly feels electric jolts / sharp stabby pain. And apparently that’s totally normal according to my OB.
Great points here, a C section is a major abdominal surgery. I was an anxious mess freaking out about the potential of having one but I’m also so scared of surgery in general which surely doesn’t help. I ended up having a very peaceful natural birth with no epidural and I like to share that because there’s so many traumatic birth stories that get shared broadly but there are also so many peaceful birth stories
I’ve had both and prefer the vaginal delivery to a c-section for many reasons. I understand your anxiety though. I would talk through these fears with your OB.
Congratulations mama!! Miscarriages are so common, 1 in 4 pregnancies ends in miscarriage and you are not alone, big hugs, I had one before my successful pregnancy with my daughter and it’s totally normal. Why would you opt for an elective c section? Your body is literally built for having a baby, if it comes to that the medical professionals will be able to advise but women have been having babies for millions of years and you’ve got this!! ❤️
I had a miscarriage before my first daughter. A friend of mine had 7 miscarriages before she had her daughter. We bought elected not to go the c-section route. It worked out for me but she ended up having an emergency c-section. Everything I’ve heard is elective c-section is easier than emergency.
Not sure why you’re looking to go the c-section route though. I did ask for additional blood tests early on to confirm everything was ok (mine was a missed miscarriage around 7 weeks) and my doctor happily did that. I also took my time accepting the new pregnancy. Not necessarily recommending that but it helped a bit to guard my feelings at the time.
