It depends. Do you not understand accounting or just find it boring and don’t feel like you have the motivation to continue with something like this? If your struggles are just not understanding concepts then that advice is not the best, instead try different ways to catch up/understand and see if you like it better… however if you don’t have any desire to learn accounting concepts, and the job seems very boring to you, then the best course of action is to pivot to something else. But spend some time thinking of what exactly you don’t like so you don’t end up in the same situation again
Sometimes the first year is just tough - nobody knew what they were doing at the beginning
What if you are already 10 years in the field, starting over is a difficult option, but if it must be done, so be it.
