Hi fishes,
Any guess how many people are laid off from Publicis sapient in past few days? Really scared for my future as I'm also under probation period and deeply regret for my choice of joining this firm...I don't understand why were they recruiting peeps when they were short of projects. Publicis Sapient

I got fired two years ago right before Christmas. It took me a while to get over it. So understand that you may need time to heal and it might hurt longer than you expect. But it's important you eventually work through all your emotions so you can move on. Reflect on everything that happened. Really understand why it happened. I believe I was doing a good job, but my boss chose to let me go so I accept that there were improvements I could have made. I became more mindful of my shortcomings and have been trying to work on them, such as being better at client relationships. It also helped me reprioritize my life a bit. In my case, I had given so much to work and still got fired. So I learned to put my family first. A more balanced life makes me a happier person, which makes me better at my job and nicer to be around. Getting fired also gave me a chance to re-set and decide what I was looking for in my next agency. In hindsight, there were a lot of challenges and stresses in my old job that I didn't acknowledge until after I got fired. Ultimately, I found a job through people I knew in the industry. Contacts are the best way. And now it's two years later and I am happier, less stressed, at a better agency, doing great work and I make more money. So be sure to frame getting fired as an opportunity for growth and a chance to find yourself a better situation.
Thank you for this, definitely need some time to process it all and reflect on what I can do differently next time
But why an epic failure??
My agency is hiring. Send me a dm.
💜 thinking of my journey as a winding staircase can help, like sometimes it feels like I’m moving down but when I keep walking I realize actually I am still up from where I was. Take good care of yourself and then listen for what you really want to do next. You got a “problatunity”!

Welcome to the club.
I’m genuinely sympathizing. Don’t let it affect your self worth. You’ll bounce back.
😬
Keep your head up. It happens. Refocus and go after what you want in life. It’s a restart. Embrace it.
Kind of hard to give helpful advice without knowing the reason for the firing, but don’t let it spoil the holidays.

I think OP meant “laid off.”
We are hiring. Send me a DM.
I’ve been there - happy to commiserate.

Sorry to hear. Fired or laid off? There’s a difference. I assume you meant “laid off?”
DM me your résumé. I’m not sure if our agency is looking but I’ll see what I can do.
Fired in this case, thank you for your offer to help!
I was told recently that I was going to get fired if I didn't achieved certain objectives that no one had given me before (after I kept asking to get objectives and never did). It sucked knowing that I had to leave, I am not sure how much you knew this was coming and where are you from but try and get paid for as many things as possible (notice period, holidays left, etc) and take this time to realise that although it's horrible knowing you are being laid off, this is a sign to hopefully redirect your path a bit and find something better. I ended up finding a new job within a month that paids slightly less (this last job's salary jump was big so I could afford droping 5k) and I ended up quitting. It sucks right now but you'll be ok!!
Yes definitely a sign! I hope you are okay too! Great work on finding a new job so quickly 👏🏼
Ask why? If you feel it had something to do with your performance, maybe focus on fixing it. If you think it didn’t, then get on with enjoying the holidays. Either way, get ready for the new jobs that’ll get posted in the new year.
Take an extended holiday/vacation. Do the things you always wanted to do but couldn’t due to work.
That’s a great idea!
My agency is looking for an account sup. DM me if you’re interested!
Thanks all who have offered to help out with referrals 🙏🏼 have decided to pursue an in house role next. Also not in the States.
Fired with cause, high performer, low pay and too much work impacted my attitude and they could tell I didn’t want to be there anymore 😔
Thank you, cheers to new horizons!!!
Time for a promotion, you got this
