My husband and parents are very supportive of my career. My father in law does comment here and there how I shouldve gone into medicine instead of becoming a pharmacist. Some days I do question my choice because the way retail pharmacy is going. Personally, i think grass is not always greener on the other side. You earn more as a physician, but longer schooling is required. Pharmacy took me 5 years (1yr undergrad+pharmacy school) vs medicine (min 2 years undergrad+med school +residency).
I hear this all the time… helps to remember that I really hate looking at gross skin conditions, vaginas (Pap smears *shiver*) so GP would never work for me. As a surgeon or hospital doc… the extra 4 years of residency also not worth it. Plus, a lot of them are entitled rich kids who don’t actually like medicine… do you really want to spend your days working with colleagues like that?
