Yes
A bug that turns out to be 24 hours
I’d like to. Unfortunately, there’s so much work hanging over my head that if I tried to take a day off, I’d just end up being even more stressed out from getting even more behind on my projects. 😞
Sometimes you have to. Most of the time my “sick day” I just me logging at 3pm and calling habit a day and watching cartoons or something to turn my brain off and relax.
Someone mentioned going home because you are overwhelmed is not the answer, which I 100% agree with (I know from experience). The only thing that is going to make you feel better is taking care of your stress points.
I have found that leaving each day knowing that I gave it all I had, and feeling like I reached my max potential for the day, really helps relieve anxiety when I'm at home. This can be achieved by making daily/weekly goals. It is easier to motivate yourself when you are focused on specific daily goals. As the daily goals are completed, you will become closer to achieving the more long term goals.
Sundays are my reset days during this time of year, which means getting up early and engaging in activities that distract me from work.
Eating healthy and exercising also has a major impact on my overall wellbeing.
Absolutely!
I take days off to study and work around the house and get organized. Some would say it’s a waste of vacation days, but it makes me less stressed when those things are done.
Yes! Sometime I feel that just working from home one day (if your team allows it) helps me. I’m able to do mindless chores like running the dishwasher, do a couple loads of laundry and lounge in sweats to relieve my anxiety and not stress about a commute. I’m also able to focus on my work without interruption so I have less on my plate the next day.
