Any suggestions on timing to tell my boss I’m leaving teaching for another job? I make 26k a year and have been working multiple jobs to pay bills. I’m leaving primarily because I get paid so little. New job pays double for better and less stress. I feel bad not telling parents who have signed up to come specifically for me. But they have zero idea how poorly I’m paid.

Everytime someone texts at work, they never say good morning. They just get straight into the topic. In my previous company's culture (in Australia), it's offensive not to ask: "Hello, how are you doing?" before getting into anything work related. Does anyone have a better work culture where people actually care about each other and not treat work colleagues as if they're just robots doing work?

Just accepted a job as Social Worker at a 56 bed SNF. Was told at interview that working hours were 8:00-4:30. Now finding out that the social worker normally works 8am-7:30pm regularly. Walking desk vs regular treadmill? I have been researching walking treadmills/desks but I find that they dont have the best reviews compared to getting a regular treadmill. Does anyone have any advice on which to choose? Trying to stay under 1k and dont like that you often cant run on the walking treadmills even though many companies claim you can, but looking for something smaller than a traditional treadmill. Id like to work and walk but Id rather get the best for my money.

I find myself looking for a new role in agency / production company biz dev. I co-founded a creative production agency back in 2010. Grew it to a staff of 80 FTE, creating strategic content-driven campaigns for brands, tv networks, streamers, platforms, publishers etc. We developed and produced original TV as well. Around 2016 we positioned the company for sale and then sold in Jan 2019. After going over to the acquirer in 2020, I’m now free for the first time in a long time. What to do?
