Newbie to investing and never invested in a company that went through a reverse stock split.
In theory, I understand the market value should increase but I’m not seeing this reflected in the price and naturally my book value/ share is very disappointing.
A) When should I anticipate the stock appreciation to occur?
B) What’s the next move for companies that do this? Issue more shares?
TIA!

I am also not a good test taker but did well in college... I am retaking Monday after getting 74 lol. But my approach this time around is not to drag it out, because that’s what I did the first time and forgot a lot of stuff. Now i am doing a bunch of MCQ every day. Do unlimited practice tests periodically for sections you already reviewed to keep things fresh. I’m focusing on doing all MCQ for the big topics and trying to understand the questions I got wrong.
Good luck!
Appreciate this a lot. I private dmed you if that’s cool.
I passed by just doing MCQ. Since you reviewed everything , I recommend alternating between chapter and doing random 15-20 mcq’s. Do this non stop until your exam. Review any right and wrong question.
Like everyone has mentioned. I invested in ninja, and alternated between sections and did 15-20 mcqs. This works!!! Trust the process. Good luck OP!
You need to assess your strengths! For me, I’m a great test taker but have been a crammer/procrastinator my whole life, so I just crammed studying into a small period of time to score 75-80 on all my tests. FAR was the most brutal one to study for, and since I gave myself such little time to study, I skipped a section because no matter how much time I spent on it, it probably wouldn’t change my scores in that section. Make sure the sections you are confident in, you know 100% and the others, you can get by without.
I do recommend NOT skipping government and not for profit. Those sections were super easy to retain and ended up being quite a few questions. Also, not sure if you’re using Becker, but their acronyms saved my butt multiple times, so be sure to remember those!
Omg right? The rules are crazy for it. I have basics but still kind of shaky
I was eligible to take the CPA exams beginning the second semester of my senior year bc of credit eligibility (Spring of 2015). Below it the order I took them in, with FAR and REG requiring me to study just under 2 months each and 1 month each for BEC and AUD:
FAR: 80
REG: 85
BEC: 92
AUD: 95
Note that I NEVER wasted my time watching any of the videos using Becker. I just read each book once and then just churned practice questions and tests in order to pass all 4 right during that last semester before I graduated. Focus on areas you’re less comfortable with. If it makes you feel better, I never felt 100% confident coming out of any of the above exams.
You are me. I got a 78 on it but it took me multiple tries to pass. What finally made me pass all of them was I studied a chapter, then reviewed, studied chapter 2, reviewed 1&2, studied chapter 3, reviewed 1-3 and so on. I focused on multiple choice but I’d also read the chapters or at least skim through them. Eventually I had taken it enough and done that enough that I remembered it naturally to the point where I still remember a ton of stuff from it even though it’s been a while since I have passed. Good luck!
This is huge motivation. Thank you so much for this!. I’m already content that it will take me a few tries but at end of day as long as you pass that’s all that matters. Congratulations !
Ninja MCQs are good and was a good mix w the Wiley review course I followed.
Good luck! You’ll do great! And remember, you don’t need to be an expert or score 80+. It doesn’t need to be pretty, it only needs to be good enough to pass. Remembering that helped me take the pressure off myself.
I’ve used i-75 for BEC (skinny bundle) and passed on my first try, and am now using them again for FAR. I still do hammer practice MCQ (practice sets of 25) with Becker, but I find i-75s lectures to really click better for me. Darius Clarke runs it and he’s got some YouTube videos posted. Try those, if you like it, get it
Np, good luck!
I was nervous because I also felt like I wasn’t retaining the info. I spent the last few weeks before my test hammering mcq’s and always making notes when I got one wrong. I re-wrote all those notes a few different times because I retain info better when I hand write it. The day of the test I sat outside the building for like 20 minutes and went over my master list of notes before going in. Somehow ended up with an 83
Amazing!! Thank you for the advice!
Didn’t pass FAR and REG with Becker until I used i-75, definitely worth it. Highly recommend! I did the monthly bundle which was like $90 with a discount for all four topics.
Wow great to know! Thank you so much! Definitely getting it
Do you feel like you understand the concepts? FAR is the only session in CPA that i feel like requires deep understanding rather than instant memorization. I normally tell my coachees to do FAR in summer when they have the time to really dive in and understand. The other three sessions is fine to cram through in Nov/Dec to get done by Jan.
Yeah that’s my problem I am a big memorizer and realized this is my downfall with the FAR. I have tried to really understand topics as that’s the only way to pass this exam. It’s been a challenge I been looking at it on and off for past 4 months. I know I am getting busy again but need to give it a shot.
Thank you for taking the time to write this out! Will note this as some of those lectures are crazy long! I learn better from MC !
