The pee strips mean nothing. Ignore it.
Don’t worry about calories when you’re just starting out. Keto can be a big adjustment in the beginning. Definitely focus on protein, though: it’s a goal, whereas fat is optional.
I find it helpful to supplement lean proteins (eg, egg whites, chicken breast, protein powder) when I’m running out of calories and still need the protein. You can even go a bit over with protein — it won’t break ketosis.
I plan to stick with it and keep trying, but it’s super demotivating.
Trace on the strips is still something. It can take people anywhere from 2 to 7 days to get into ketosis
