How do i send my resume to a partner (say P1) who introduced to the partner of my current firm (say P2) for a position open at their firm? I’d love to join P1’s firm, they’re very well known in my area of practice.

I want to tell them to keep it confidential/not tell P2 i want to move, because P2 will definitely take offense. How can i do it (in a chill manner)?

I finished a third round interview, and HR contacted me that afternoon saying I had positive feedback across the board and they would contact me the next day regarding next steps. It’s been two days and they finally get back to me saying they haven’t been able to sync with the hiring manager but will keep me posted. Honestly I wish they would talk with the hiring manager and then let me know the decision instead of checking in. It’s messing with my emotions.

My utilization held pretty steady around 50% immediately after shutdown, but August was below 15 billables with no appreciable work in the pipeline. Aside from letting people know I'm available and doing pro-bono/CLE, it's starting to feel like a serious "covidcation" leading to termination.
