I had over 10 conversations. Each of them with the same questions. The Guidehouse hiring is very structured and candidate-focused 😐
Actually it’s not. We have no formal interview structure. Each sector however does their own thing so may just be where you applied. On my team, for staff level, myself and a director interview and then the partner rubber stamps.
Lol same thing happened to me. Ended up with 6 total interviews before getting an offer. Also for SC
What was the offer at the end of it all?
I had 2 interviews, not counting a 3 minute phone call with the recruiter.
Hiring manager -> another manager and two directors. Got an offer the next day
I’ve tried to combine interviews. Usually my director and I will interview together (sometimes also bring in sme at the same time), then director and partner together. Finally a client screening.
Only visibility I don’t have is if security and hr “interview”
Depending on the contract, the client may have a say on who can join the engagement team. While we don’t hire for a contract, we usually have one in mind by the time they’re at the partner interview.

I like meeting more people. It means they're trying to find a good fit with an immediate role
Not in my experience. Better culture = more interviews in my opinion
I didnt know bands had interviews, oh wait you said Guidehouse and NOT Lifehouse
4 total interviews for me for SC level. Phone screen with the recruiter, phone interview with hiring manager, video interview with the current incumbent & another director and I have a final phone interview with a partner next week. I thought it was a bit much but my SO recently switched to IBM and he had more than 5 rounds of interviews - and they’re the one who wanted him
What sector are you interviewing in? Recruiting process is very segment specific.
Google Worse. Pre interview. Then onsite with like a few people then. A fit call.
Then HC.
By they time your hired Amazon made 3 more products to kick googles butt.
@OP, you didn't ask the recruiter in the first round what the interview process is and constitutes of how many total interviews?
Are they asking a bunch of questions specific to the project/client you are leaving? Some companies will interview with no intention to hire, but just to get competitive insight. Don’t know if guidehouse does this, but it’s very common in federal.
It IS?? Who does this?

Same with Deloitte when I got hired, I had 11 different touch-points before offered the job.
Deep down I think this is a tactic utilized by employers writ large to save money on hiring (after 10 interviews you feel committed) and to discourage job hoppers by increasing the barriers/frictions to getting a new gig.
With a fellow EY firm (another country), I had around 8 “conversations”/ interviews. Was kinda annoyed by the end of it all. Overall nice ppl, but I was also going for SC role and I was already an SC in the EY “family”. So yeah. I literally spoke to 2 SMs, 2 Ms, 2 SCs, 1 Partner and I was like waaaait... what is happening lol
