Currently a Solutions Consultant at Pegasystems.
I am interviewing at and considering making a jump to Oracle as a Specialist Solutions Consultant.
The reason for my move is currently at Pega SCs are treated more as AEs or Account Managers. The role at Oracle would be more of a true SC position. I also feel that Oracle will look BETTER on a resume and someone as young as me would have BETTER programs in place to train me and give me the foundation needed to be a successful SC.
Thoughts?

And if you’re wondering, I’m an introvert as is common in tech fields. I try not to use that as an excuse because I can still be pretty social. But damn my social battery can’t sustain this level of constant interaction lol.
I was in the same boat when I first moved into a SE role. Im supporting a sales team of 70+ reps and the only SE for my product. What I do now is just manage my calendar: after a day hits 5 meetings max I block off the rest of my calendar for the rest of the day. Then after meetings plug in a 15-30 min meeting break to decompress after meeting/prep for your next one.
Plug in some “focus time” meetings for yourself to get your head down work done
At first my boss was apprehensive about it and that was when I only blocked off for lunch. But after I explained it to her she completely understood. Now no one questions any blocks that I have. If anyone questions you I’d preface it with not only do you have to be a available for meetings but you also have to be a available to answer IMs and emails as well and if you’re in meetings all day how can you?
I also flat out decline calls if they try to book it on top of another booked slot.
