My new company offers 16 weeks for both parents

like

26 weeks. Tbh minimum should be 16 weeks

like

I agree with this

My company offers 16 weeks of parental leave for both parents, 100% income replacement, for either new-borns, adopted child, or foster child.

like

6 weeks for secondary care giver and 12 weeks for primary care giver on top of STD

like

12 weeks

like

16 weeks 100% pay for primary caregiver with up to 6 months job protection (unpaid leave of absence)

12 weeks 100% pay for secondary caregiver, with an additional 4 weeks of job protection.

Great question, I was about to ask the same and if this is company paid parental leave for all those weeks?

Does not answer your question but hopefully added perspective-
I declined a really great role because the firm did not have family friendly policies such a paid leave greater than 6 weeks ( btw, who is still on 6 weeks max anyways) and overall comp.

Don’t underestimate how high this ranks for candidates on their priority lists.

Former company = 24 weeks paid mat /16 pat. Current= 6 pat/6-12 mat

16 weeks

18 weeks

My boss asked me how much time I need off for the bar exam (second juristiction). I told him I'd like to start really hammering down beginning of July. He was fine with that, but as far as being "gone" no one has said anything about me taking time off. The firm has unlimited vacation. Are they still going to pay me? Lol. I know this is very specific, but I'm curious what has been the case for others at firms with similar vacation rules.

My husband and I were set to start trying when I ovulate in a couple weeks. I didn’t get my period and a few days late (and I haven’t been late in months). I have PCOS so once I got my period back it has been consistent. So I took a test and is positive. I called my doctor, went in for a blood test and said was negative. I don’t understand what is going on. I don’t see how not pregnant, unless my pcos is flaring up again so either way just upset :/

In case anyone would like to spare themselves a heart attack stroke and possibly spreading Covid to a large group of people as you run around screaming for help. If you child goes missing and doesn’t respond to you calling her name despite screaming it at the top of your lungs 50 times check under the blankets her room. She could be a very sound sleeper and entirely huddled under the blanket on the floor. Also don’t trust your 12 year old to check under the blanket either before calling 911.

I used to be really bad about not prioritizing my prayer life. But now I pray & talk to God all the time. I’ve seen what prayer does-it can change the trajectory of your life. God tells us to make our prayers & petitions known to Him & to pray without ceasing. What happens when we pray is absolutely incredible. The Holy Spirit within us interprets our groans & our prayers to our advocate Jesus Christ who petitions God the Father on our behalf. The perfect triune God hears my prayers and yours!

Hi everyone. Is it typical for the attorney to take credit for the work a paralegal does? An example: I gave some ideas about deposition questions and some observations I made (I was asked about giving suggestions) regarding a witness and the attorney mentioned that he’s the one that had these great questions/observations. Zero credit or thank you for the work I did.
