I am an auditor with EY Netherlands and currently hold job offers from Deloitte and PwC based in Netherlands. I was expecting a promotion this year, however it has been delayed. The promotion cycles are usually slow here and I just wanted to ensure if I am making the right choice. Is anyone aware about the month in which the promotions become effective in Deloitte, PwC and KPMG in Netherlands? Also do they have the promotion cycles mid-year or just annually?

Quit my cushy job a few months ago because I was totally burnt out and mental health was shot. Thinking about quitting this industry all together - anyone else go through similar? Any advice? Thanks!

I currently do planning system implementation at SC level. Quite technical stuff and less PMO. What are my future career possibilities from here onwards? Can I keep progressing in the standard ladder and keep doing implementations, or is it automatically going to end up becoming more are more sales oriented and less actual implementation work? Especially interested in the SM level and above. I’d prefer staying at Big 4 and avoid the supplier side.

Looking to exit from 195k base to a sales role base 140 + 40 in guaranteed bonus year 1 to make up for the lengthy sales cycle. I’ve been working at a rather prestigious midsized firm in a big city for almost a year and a half now. I have been having a lot of trouble picking up work from senior partners. We are required to bill at least 150 hours per month to meet our requirement. My months are typically only 110-130 hours. It seems like the senior partners already have their “go to” associate for things. Does anyone have any suggestions on how i can increase my workload? I reach out for work pretty much weekly.

At this point, I’m looking forward to telling opposing counsel in this one case that I’m leaving my firm more than telling my firm. Between the ridiculous theory of the case, the truly obnoxious discovery requests, and the self-righteous attitude, I can’t wait to never talk to this guy again.
