This shouldn’t be news to people but it is.

The ad industry is represented by less than 2% of self-identified LGBTQ individuals. We're asking our fellow LGBTQ peers who have already come out to work to share their stories and to describe how being out at work has benefitted them. Record your story and upload it to tinyurl.com/come-out-to-work Stories will be collected and shared on Instagram at @ComeOutToWork by mid-June. Happy Pride!

Take today to grieve. But tomorrow, get back up. Keep your head up. Keep working on your pitch. Review your assignments with your mentors. You'll get the job you want. You can do this! I believe in you.
I literally got kind of emotional reading this? Thanks for being so kind and saying something I really needed to hear.
Wow that's shitty, even for advertising. sorry that happened, but you don't want to work for an org that treats people like that. if they're like that to a candidate, what are they like once you come on board?
Really sorry. Interviewing is so draining and emotional. We’ve all been there and in the end you’ll find a great role that’s better suited to you. What kind of assignments does a VP have to do?
Hey it’s their loss! I know we all need work but people we work with are like 50%of the job. You deserve to be somewhere people will think you are terrific and value you. I don’t know where that is for you but I know it exists. It’s the weekend - relax - you had interviews! Several! Have a glass of wine and appreciate that you were a strong enough candidate to be seriously considered. Be proud!
You got rejected for the job you were interviewing for??
This was like the seventh interview of many over the past 6 weeks — it was supposed to be the last one. I’d already interviewed with would-be manager (twice) and others, and done two assignments. Womp womp
