Yes where is this? If this is in America. You don’t need a video tape you are just prolonging all of this. Have a meeting with HR with all your documented incidents ready. Write down all the witnesses involved. All they have to do is share their experiences with that person and the incidents if it all matches to the story he is gone. Worst case scenario he will be written up. But physically harming people that’s a one time thing. When he pulled that chair that caused you physical harm that should have been the end of it. How did you became an assistant manager without all the training to protect yourself and the people that works for you? Sorry for the harsh question. Managers should always have proper training on how to deal with difficult workplace situations, proper documentations, and escalation.

Unless this idiot for a manager has a thing with HR going he’s taking a lot for granted and self-assured he can pull this off-I echo doing videotape/Recording and get the regional involved even before HR as I find it hard to believe HR still has no clue this has occurred before.
Umm.. report this person to the state and get an attorney
