I need to take out a loan of around 10 to 15,000 rather than a mortgage, is there a way that I can charge it to my credit card with 0% APR or any other way of getting alone interest-free for 3 to 4 months?

Yes, aren’t alot of cards offering 0% Apr for like 12 months?

They are, but I don’t know how to turn that into a cash if I need to buy a house and need a bit of cash to top it off

You can but read the small footnote. They charge you 5% upfront of any cash you need which is really expensive for short term loans.

Most of banks have one. Check with them directly but as I mentioned above usually it will cost you 5% upfront even if you borrow it for a day

Yes. Many credit cards allow you to do a cash transfer. It’ll be like 4% of the amount then 0 apr for a year. Something like that

0apr Credit card plus balance transfer plus letting the money season

Tax help please:
Turbo tax is telling me I’m about to get hit with a $3k+ tax bill. I got married in 2019 (my income is 130k, hers is 60k) but I didn’t have extra pay withheld on my W4 in 2020. Last year it wasn’t an issue, so what could have changed? We bought a house in 2020, so I would have expected to have a bigger credit from that, not a larger bill? Any help would be great here.

Okay finance gurus, I have an idea and interested in your thoughts. Might be a bad one so be gentle 🙂. I have a 2 yr old and another on the way. Need to start planning for college. I was thinking of buying a condo or 2 in lieu of saving and selling them down the line for tuition. Condos downtown are pretty inexpensive (T3) so it’s financially feasible. But is this a good idea or too risky?

I have about 7 years experience in this area.

Question for folks with second homes: Considering buying a vacation home but would be primarily for family use. If I were to buy the second home through an LLC, would that allow me to exceed that 750K since the expenses of the second home would be pass through expenses/income?

Hi all - any advice for a first time real estate investor looking to make their first purchase at the end of 2021.

I plan on saving $50K, for a $350-400K property in the Long Island, NY area for my first property. Does this sound reasonable? And does anyone have any experience & advice investing in the LI area?

Id like to rent it out for some positive cash flow that I can then start using to save for my 2nd property (sounds easy when I type it).

Thanks all for your input - stay safe!

We are redoing all the bathroom tiles and walls and debating what we should do with the two toilets. Would resealing the toilets extend the use life? Or should we just replace the toilets? Any other recommendations? TIA!!
