I told myself I would never study for another exam after the CPA. What the hell am I doing studying for the CISA right now?!

I said the same thing and I wasn’t a liar like you two^^

I have both, CISA is way easier than CPA.

I just took CISA Saturday! It was soooo much easier than CPA. I finished in 86 minutes and passed. A lot of questions on governance and timing of audits. Not as technical as I thought it would be. But I also studied for 2 months. I used the database and CISA review manual, both sold by ISACA.

like

You can literally study for a month and pass it, I wouldn’t sweat it

like

I don’t know, why are you doing that?

like

My boss said that it would benefit me (implying I should get it). Which I should... considering I’m in a small internal audit department responsible for both financial and IT controls... just so hard focusing on yet another test. Lol

like

Cisa is so easy. 1-2 months of studying max

like

I said the same thing and ended up also studying for the cisa

Hello everyone! This is my first time posting since joining this platform. I’m interested in connecting with someone who is open to HR mentoring. I’ve been in HR now for about six years and have never had a mentor. I’ve been relying mostly on SHRM and other people in the company for feedback. Even if it’s for feedback, I would really appreciate it. Thank you!

I am currently working on my MBA in a professional evening and weekend program at a highly accredited university. I am thinking about transferring to a much smaller private online program, specifically because they offer a concentration in organizational health, which directly builds on my doctoral research. Does great depth and specialization outweigh the value of a highly respected generalist degree?

AWS vs Cloudflare BDR roles

AWS lowballed but I negotiated to match Cloudflare. Cloudflare offers more equity but AWS has a higher base.

I love Cloudflare. The people are great but it’s an engineering culture and the sales team isn’t as well shaped up and I can’t go for a promotion until at least 18 months of tenure. I am an investor in the company and think of them super highly. I’ve already got half a years SDR experience and AWS promotes quicker.

AWS has prestige but is it worth it?

I’m a newer registered nurse (2 years) and want to get into remote work. I keep getting denied due to lack of experience but to even get the job I have now (case manager) the company knew one of my family members and they gave me a chance to interview because of that. For these remote companies where I don’t have connections how can I transition over?

I’m intrigued but I want to know 2 things:
1. Culture/WLB - how is it?
2. Realistic market opportunity/opportunity to crush quota (obv dependent on many things)

Background: Currently making 95k/160k OTE at a boutique research and consulting firm. I’m happy but we’re extremely flat with little to no opp for promotion in the next 2+ years.
