Self-taught to get up to speed is a possibility. There are a ton of resources and certifications out there.
I think people have had better success with certifications/boot camps etc to upskill/re-skill as needed. Also worth chatting to a few recruiters informally to understand where you could bolster your resume before you actually pay for any training/school

I think getting certificates and doing boot camps is enough. You don't need a while degree in this job enviorment.
thank you, I already have a degree in Computer Science from more than a decade ago, but like I said, I have never practiced it. I think I have a pretty good foundation. I thought certificates and boot camps are a way to go, I just asked in case I missed any other options. but thanks for your advice.
If you already have a CS degree, just brush up on your skills. Do a fit practice projects you can put on github, complete a bootcamp or accelerator course and you should be fine.
