I had a trip planned to Dallas today to see family for Spring Break flying on AA via LaGuardia. Did not use mass transit to get to LaGuardia as the suspect is still missing. I’m curious to hear which insurance company has the best work life balance for a senior commercial or middle market underwriting role. I currently only handle new business, which I love, but see that other companies like liberty make you handle new business and renewals. Any insight is appreciated.

My dilemma… I am an injury adjuster at a carrier experiencing high inventory that’s barely manageable. A competitor offered a higher salary and manageable workload. BUT, I would like to get into underwriting. I applied for UW position w/ a different carrier and they’ve made an offer. It’s lower than my current salary and significantly lower than what I’d make by taking the first offer. Do I take the high salary and stay in claims or go for UW in hopes it will be best in long run?

Anybody have any advice for someone with experience in Provider Relations who is looking to move into Network Contracting. I have plenty of experience working with provider networks but have been unsuccessful in landing a role after a few interviews.

So I've been at my job for 5+ years as a data analyst/back office support team. I made my way up into making a little over $40k. I've been WFH the past 2 yrs and overtime more than half my team has now been pulled out to work for a diff department which resulted in me taking 90% of our daily tasks to handle. I'm at a point where the salary I'm getting is disrespectfully low for all the work I do. Should I ask for a raise? And if so, how do I go about asking without sounding greedy.
