I’ll never forget the night a guest handed me a plastic container and asked if I could “heat this up for my kid.” Inside was Tupperware pasta and when I politely declined, she acted like I’d insulted her family. I’ve also had adults bring in their own salad dressing or baby food, which feels like a gray area. I get wanting to keep kids happy, but using our kitchen for BYO leftovers? That’s a hard no for me. How do you handle it when guests bring in outside food?

Because of this, somebody making $100k cannot simply comfortably revert back to a $50k lifestyle. The slow growth of personal wealth isn’t noticed as ideated. Instead, we are never satisfied.
