Hey guys. I have been applying to Amex for the past 1 year. Tried applying on the portal, through referrals and even hr consultants reached me regarding the roles since I have a relevant profile. But not once have I been shortlisted or called for an interview. What could be the problem?
PS: I have gotten calls from every other company for the same profile but not amex. Can't be a problem with the profile. Seems something dicey which I'm not aware of.American Express
Have my closing interview with Accenture next week. So far the Director and MD I have met with have both liked me and the recruiter has said that they have both given me a thumbs up and that the upcoming closing interview with the MD is just a conversation. From my research I’ve also read that it’s just a sanity check to make sure I’m not a nutcase. Of course anything can happen, but I’m expecting an offer. (Cont)

I’ve been trying to get into the top tier Associate Product Marketing Manager position Google for some time now for just an interview and I feel like business majors somehow have such a stronger chance in getting interviewed especially my business school and I feel really discouraged as an Econ Major and I have a lot of marketing experience that I’ve built over the years. Are there any non-business majors in the tech realm in non technical positions at Google that can advise me?
Hi all, recently in touch by Spotify recruiter for a Sec Engineer position for remote EU and was told that range was 60-80 out of base salary and equity. Had 2 years of security experience out of my 4 years. Was also told that there is no bonus scheme or no sign in bonus 😕 Not sure how I feel about this tbh.

Depends on the timing for me. If I just left, I usually just leave it un-updated for a while. If it has been a long time, maybe time to make the changes. You would think it looks better to not have to hassle with a present employer, but others would say being out of work for any amount of time is bad. Could make the case either way.
If it's something people may see, like your LinkedIn profile, it's probably best to always have it current. You don't want someone to think you're working someplace you're not. Who knows, you could lose an opportunity that way. And really, people leave companies, it's nothing shameful. And that's even more so recently, with all the layoffs in the past few years.
