Our open enrollment hasn't started yet but I'm sure we're all going to get fucked. Health care in this country is a joke.

Mine increased by about 1k per year…that seems like a lot to me
I see a $500 yearly decrease for my plan,I am going for the HSA option..
Yeah, I’ve heard of this happening a lot. Probably a mix of increasing cost and employers passing more of the cost onto you.
Our plan is increasing by 59%. And it has 💩 coverage.
We increased premiums on one plan by 4% and 3% on another. Our HDHP offering saw no increase.
I cannot explain for every employer plan, obviously, but our reasoning for the increase is claims experience. As a self-funded plan (fancy language for “the employer pays for claims”) we monitor our costs over time and try to break even between Employee and Employer contributions covering the costs. The company picked up 2/3 of the increase this year whereas employees picked up the remaining increase.
Obviously, any increase is unwelcome by employees…but after 6 years of no increase, it is still pretty reasonable.
As for $ increase for the year, I think the most expensive plan went up $360 for the year.
Our PPO medical and premium dental plan costs went up 19%. Around $1000 a year for family coverage. There was an increase to prescription coverage tiers., but I don’t know how much more it will work out to be.
But for some odd reason we received complementary fertility benefits. Makes me wonder WHO is trying to have a baby.
