Hi fishes,
Any guess how many people are laid off from Publicis sapient in past few days? Really scared for my future as I'm also under probation period and deeply regret for my choice of joining this firm...I don't understand why were they recruiting peeps when they were short of projects. Publicis Sapient

Only certain bill codes count towards utilization. You also need to back out some hours like holidays
I called 809 Deloitte and they're going to look into it.
The one on ToD is usually a week behind.
Are you sure you are counting everything right?
Hours billed over 40*weeks in performance year
Email the RM team. I did that at Deloitte and they fixed it.
Mine is wrong too! Need to address that let me know if you find a solution
BTW, I think the denominator is a standard 2080, unless you took leave or just started
Utilization isn't the thing anymore. It is total CS hours
At SM1 isn't CS hours just the numerator of utilization? So there's no difference really in the metric. Except maybe that screws people who take maternity leave.
@SM1 if they're trying to change his focus, maybe they shouldn't display your utilization on ToD. @M1 PY starts first full week in March, not April
How do you calculate utilization?
@A1: I'm talking about client hours. Obviously I'm not counting other hours. I'm not even counting holidays so my denominator should go down!
Denominator is 40*weeks in performance year so at end of February it will be 2080
ToD displays hours till the previous pay day. So your current ToD hours should be as of 11/11. It will update again on 11/25
While we are on the util topic - an old project had me charging to an "XYI" code (while they were waiting for another contract to get signed that never got signed and they wouldn't let me roll off😑) which is categorized as PRD. This just goes towards adjusted, correct?
@SM1: Are you saying adjusted utilization doesn't exist / is no longer relevant?
@OP you're calculating wrong, base expectation is higher than 40. Fed and commercial have different targets iirc but both are higher than 40 per week if you want to take your PTO
They are trying to pivot to focusing on total CS hours because of the types of confusion shown in this thread. Old habits due hard though.
What date are you calculating from? Performance year started in early April, not the beginning of the fiscal year
