Got the call…

Sometimes I don't uphold the company mission 😱
JPMorgan Chase recently introduced a policy change to increase the notice period to 60 days. I'm a 602 and resigned recently and yet my LWD is showing up as 30 days from now. Anyone recently resigned can confirm if they are facing the same or new policy is in effect. This is causing confusion with the next companies I'm interviewing with.

They did that with me a couple of times, then they decide to not go forward. Google hiring managers are just really nice and friendly people, even when they let go.
Haha so it is not me then!
I will say this though, related to how you feel: Getting or not getting the offer isn’t always indicative of nailing interviews. I walked out of onsites feeling like I nailed it and was getting an offer but the team went with another candidate. They said my feedback was great and they reached out the following month for another role.
Thanks for sharing this.
Cleared it folks! Thanks for all the advice. Btw, HC can be bye-passed apparently and they did in my case.
What goes in the background after you clear HC and wait for the offer?
In transparency, We’re specifically trained to treat every single candidate the same, regardless of how you’re doing.
Not saying you didn’t do great! You probably did. Just sharing our side.

I always thank every candidate and tell them that it was great talking to them. I usually even say that xyz answer was really insightful / interesting.
I say the same whether you passed or not - it's all about making you as comfortable as possible so you can do your best.
I hope that you do well....interviewers really are on your side
We are trained to do that (I mean in fairness most people I interview are great in a way or another).
And Googlers are generally nice people. Not trying to put your hopes down, I really hope you did well!
Thanks. I may have actually messed up my interview. I can clearly tell I got 3/8 questions in my rrk2 wrong as in I did not follow the path they wanted me to follow. At this point I feel It would be a surprise if I get through. But good experience overall.
It's important to understand that companies like Google, Amazon, Salesforce, Microsoft, Facebook have their pick of the litter. While sounds like you nailed the interview, you were likely competing with 3-4 others that made it to the final loop. Good luck in making it the finals, now you need some skill, luck, and advantages vs your competitors that you are up against. If I can ever help with anything, I'm always happy to. Ooo very insightful! I was made to feel like this and thought I'd done a great job. Now I'm not fully sure.
Ha! In the same boat as you OP! Now I am keeping my fingers 🤞. FWIW, the HM didn’t interview me. Once my loop was done the recruiter arranged a separate chat with the HM and it was billed as ‘this is not an interview’ . I still think it has to be evaluative- hard to imagine someone hiring a person without having an input in the process
It can be bypassed in very specific cases. It is definitely not the norm and is a new process, so it’s not often brought up as a possibility
Congrats OP! Did you receive your offer details?
Nope. It is WIP.
