I am generally uncomfortable when I’m around my mother-in-law’s husband.

While he is overall a decent guy, his anger issues, yelling at his wife for the slightest issue, and insulting nature makes me uncomfortable and triggers my own anger due to his blatant disrespect for just about everyone around him.

Has anyone quit their job because of a relationship? I started my job 3 months ago and now my employer wants me to move to NY. As holidays come around, the family has upped their questions about when we are having kids and why we haven’t yet. Doesn’t help that my sibling with one other kid just announced her second pregnancy. Definitely happy for her, but don’t feel like I need to explain to the whole family that we are struggling.

I grew up in a nuclear family away from extended relatives who were never really close. Parents were either emotionally unavailable or distant. All I've wanted for myself was a big loving family to call my own.. my parents are unaccepting of my sexuality & my partners family is also quite fucked up so she's isn't super close to them either. Honestly this sucks & it feels like I'll never have a huge supportive family I've wanted & craved for.
