Just accepted an offer to jump from B4 audit to MM TAS/FDD analyst. For those that made similar moves, what was the biggest learning curve? Any tips to get started on the right foot?

Just try to be a sponge and absorb what you can. Look for opportunities to sit in on meetings, take notes and share them with the team, and ask for the time to be able questions to the senior/manager/director about what you observed. There might a time gap (hours or days) between when you are part of that meeting and you chance to ask those questions because the time is working on a client deliverable but getting the ability to observe a particular meeting will give you one incremental exposure to something you might encounter in the future. Good luck!

Just listen and focus on understanding what you are doing. It took me around 4 months to make the transition, but it was well worth it. DM me if you have any questions.

You’re going to be so fine. Stated a month ago - take some basic notes and be positive and you’ll crush it. B4 audit experience really prepares you for a lot

Hi all, looking for advice.

I'm a technical writer with background in the hardware and healthcare industry. What would be a better option for me, pivoting into software tech writing or project management.

Which one pays better/is better (any advice appreciated, must be fully remote role)

If software tech writing, does anyone have advice on how to break into a role or learn what it takes to become one?

For PM, I got a cert (not PMP) and am trying to decide which of these two I go with.

Any thoughts around how to use M&A tax skills for the better good?
