Literally nothing to do with the law, but I want to hear some theories. We live in a super normal, suburban neighborhood. Across the street is a family— husband, wife, 2 teenage daughters. Every couple nights, before COVID and during, I hear the husband either coming home late or sometimes even leaving in his car. I don’t think he’s sneaking around on his wife because if I’m noticing this, she definitely is. WHAT IS HE DOING?!

Xoxo, a nosy neighbor with nothing better to do.

Working his service job? Checking on his business which has services that have late hours?

I’m curious why seeing someone leave in the evening for a while makes you curious to know what it’s about. Now that I think of it my neighbor does this, but I’m pretty certain he’s a bartender so that makes sense.

You... monitor their patterns?

If it’s just 2 hours as you mentioned elsewhere that might be his damn gym/club time lol.

You should tail him and find out. It would be an adventure!

Does he come back with anything? I’m thinking fast food or groceries.

Nope! And he’s usually wearing jeans and a sweatshirt.

Maybe he’s putting an ailing parent to bed...?

Working coaching teaching a class going to gym. Many obvious options

Interview tomorrow for a tax associate opening at RSM. Been working in a mid-size city (different firm) that is about 70 minutes from this new home office in a larger metro. How flexible is WFH or dual model going forward post Covid? Am interested in this position and going to tax, but not be able to relocate for family reasons. Don’t want to drive 700 miles per week M-F. What will dual model be like going forward? 1-2 times week, 4-5 month? Seems like tax was more flexible than audit pre-Covid

Confession: The only in-law that I had a great relationship with passed away unexpectedly. The two remaining in-laws were on thin ice with me prior due to years of drama, nagging, and disgusting display of wealth. I believe their demand of money and general assholish behavior drove in law to his death. I love my S.O. but I can’t deal with the drama anymore.

I want to have a family and a future that is drama-free and full of love and don’t want to surround myself with negativity.

This is super weird but I feel like I can’t relate easily to people. Hear me out - I moved and lived in different continents, countries every 5 years or so until now… I feel like I’m an outlier and my life is super different from anyone else’s. I have some friends I’ve met at each stage of my life, but it’s been temporary. I feel like I’m always going in a different direction than others. It makes it difficult to have a stable life and close friends..

Idk if it’s due to Covid, Seattle freeze, a combination of the two or other factors. Any transplants out there who are NOT the outdoorsy type and feel the same? And if so, how did you get past it?

I’m taking a shot in this bowl with something I posted in the law bowl: I am trying to find an immigration lawyer who will talk to me about how our au pair can possibly become our nanny when her program ends (so she can stay in the US and we can pay her on the books). I know it’s difficult but I’ve heard stories of families doing this. Anyone have any leads?

What are your top 3 favorite pharma directors? I haven’t shot pharma in a while and don’t have extensive experience in it. NY based directors a nice plus but not a must. Forget COVID, just trying to refresh my memory and look at reels. I’m based in NYC, if that matters. Budget is decent. Thanks!

Hey all, having issues with interviewing this year. I’ve been passed over every opportunity I really want and I’m unsure how to regroup and move forward. A lot of my HPLC and LCMS experience is with already established methods. Any tips?

Hello folks, I’m after some advice please. I recently bought a couple of indoor plants and added to the cart what I think is a very expensive bottle of natural mist to use on the leaves. All organic, glass bottle etc. supposed to use it 2-3 times per week but 2 weeks in I’m down to half a bottle and it was £15 (approx $20). I understand that I need to nurture the plants but it strikes me as a rather expensive mist. Is there anything you’d recommend I can use instead? Thanks.
