I’ve worked at AT&T as a sales consultant for 6 years and 8 months where we prospect, uncover, and close on leads. I’ve used Salesforce for the past 4 years during my tenure. I’ve done B2B sales where I’ve received awards for it for 2 years consecutively. Loads of troubleshooting, uncovering needs through consultative styled selling, and tech app subscriptions.
I was wondering if I have the necessary skills to transition into a tech sales role. If so, what would be the best role/fit for me?Amazon Salesforce Google @

A lot of companies in industry have no “associates” or “staff.” The lowest level they have is senior. You’ll essentially be a senior but still be the lowest level there. Not saying it’s a bad thing just how it works. Be ready to do a lot of the prep work not first review. This is common in industry

^this. Senior in industry is preparer. Be aware
A lot of company just don’t have a staff account these days
You do know you are going to be preparing a lot of work when you go industry?
Company already has 4 Sr. Revenue accountants, with no staff accountants. They’re a rapidly growing private company valued at ~5B so the number of rev accountants seems reasonable, but its strange that theres no staff level rev accountants. Theres a single staff accountant. Obviously linkedin doesnt provide the whole picture, but is this a res flag? Thanks!
It would make sense that a company is hiring only experienced hires. I thought it might be a concern if they call everyone a senior, the position itself isn’t. I.e. if everyones a senior, no one is a senior. But based on what everyone else said, this appears to be normal.
Most companies of that size won’t have staff accountants. You’ll do your own work and analysis. Do they have a shared services group? Plant accountants? Separate financial controllers.
