we used to have 3 or 4 floors that were full to the brim. Now we have maybe 1/3 the headcount including a lot of freelancers. So... yeah

The key is to prop them with loaner laptops and cool lamps any time an important or new client comes in. 60% of the time it works every time.
HH1, have you been to 36? Or 33? 35? Heck even 37 is clearing out and they only have half a floor. New peeps coming in weekly because everyone else is leaving. You must be new
They also moved most of the departments closer together. They used to have us more dispersed. So yes we have lost people but it is made even more dramatic by that movement. My team for example had no layoffs but we look smaller due to them pushing us all together, leaving a bunch of blank space in the middle that already existed.
Whole lot of clients bringing their advertising in house. I can't see that trend reversing for a long while.
