On a gov. client as the lead auditor but plan to leave PA ASAP once report is issued. The audit is not over for months and the client has the perfect open position. How do I go about applying?

Sounds like it already qualifies as an independent issue. YOLO

I didn't tell him I was interested in any way, it had come up in responsibilities in walkthroughs where they have an opening and he was asking if I would be interested. I said I am not allowed to discuss opportunities for the sake of independence blah blah. The client has no idea I am considering. I have known him for years hence his enthusiasm. I just mean like an overall should I tell the client and have them tell the partner and just bail? It would be an audit nightmare but I'm at the low point of PA where I want to quit every day.

Talk to the client and see if they'd even consider hiring ?

The Director told me I would rock it during some walkthroughs

He was adamant it would be a perfect fit. Mainly worried about independence issues and timing so I don't screw my team.

You are not independent. Hopefully you're not leaving for the money

If anyone wants to join a boutique HR & Talent Advisory consulting firm, Kincentric is hiring for an Associate Partner role! Location doesn’t really matter, but preferably in IL, NY, or ATL.
