So what is the reason you posted?
To asked the question I asked. What is the reason you commented?
What were you hoping for and how’s it actually been? Speaking as a therapist you need to feel safe with the practitioner but also that they are not totally ‘going on your ride’ but challenge you where appropriate and empower you, not keep you hooked.
Without genuine rapport it’s going to feel like a struggle.
It actually went so well. I think I found the right fit and I’m so happy about that. My second session was great too but I was worried she was going to make it all about romantic relationships (I’m single) but today we didn’t even touch upon that.
You mentioned you had trouble finding a therapist who’s a good fit. You actually seem happy with the one you have:)
I was pointing out some pitfalls to watch out for. I’ve been therapist and client so I thought my input might be helpful.
I was anticipating I wouldn’t be thrilled — negative thinking which I guess I need to work on 😂 But pleasantly surprised. Still curious anyway to hear other people’s experiences finding the right fit. What are some of the things to be mindful of to make sure I’m getting the right treatment, etc
