I have 8 lions. 10+ clios. Lots of Luezers’, being on juries, good salary. But honestly? Tired of advertising and this business model we all know very well. Choose an option to reply: (A) stop complaining big crying baby (B) retire and go to Hawaii to surf (C) who cares?

At what point does the value of a degree fall off? I'm in my early 30s, and have five years of experience, and work on a very theoretically interesting project. I believe I'm on track to promotion in the next year. So, I could put in a year of full time school to check the box off, but I'd be sacrificing hobbies and social life (not to mention cost). Is this FOMO or is there real opportunity here?
SC for 1.5 years. Just got green light for manager. In Federal with MBA. What’s expected salary and bonus increase come Sept? I’m currently at $118k base
Milestone bonus: it was only communicated to me verbally by my RP, have you guys received any written confirmation?
Any Salesforce AEs here? Applying/looking, and curious if there is a “preferred” business unit to sell to? They are obviously different industry sectors, just curious WLB/happiness levels and salary differences A few options below: Insurance Marketing Cloud Data & Identity Manufacturing Retail
My firms bonus structure is based on “billed out” (what a partner actually bills to the client) dollars instead of actual hours billed. So you can work 2000 hours but the bonus is based on only 1850 hours, because 150 got cut over the year. Is this normal? It seems entirely unfair and makes it impossible to get a bonus.
Passed over for a promotion a third time, even after doing everything, and more, you’re supposed to? It’s time to GTFO
With vision 2020 coming to nothing, will EY cut down annual raise? Feel like EY is being cheaper recently.
Have the option to transfer to Canada (Vancouver/Toronto/Montreal) and keep my US salary or to London at a 10% paycut. My current salary is 100K USD which will be ~65K GBP if London and ~125K CAD if Canada. Obviously my salary will go further in Canada but London sounds too cool to pass on. So my main question is: will living on 65K in London be comfortable enough that I just do it for the experience? Currently in NYC at 3 yoe and will go back to the US after 1 year for MBA. Please advise!
When is our bonus payout?
First time interviewing as an experienced hire. When a recruiter asks salary expectations, do I counter and ask for a range? I don’t want to go high & get dinged but also don’t want to get shorted.
Does anyone know if Starwood does a global promotion for the Fall? If so when does it usually start?
Does anyone have suggestions for how to negotiate a severance? I was laid off with zero warning after being told my job was secure. They blindsided me. They’re also trying to get me to sign the NDA ASAP so we can “leave on good terms”. They made sure to draw my attention to the non disparagement clause. I have 21 days to sign, so not sure what that means from a risk factor situation for them. I asked for additional comp and health insurance. They came back with slightly better package.
Average salary for sup in ATL? Digital
Any Midwest SAEs here? Anticipating promotion soon and want to figure out what I should negotiate for
I know everyone has worked on “burn and churn” accounts but when did you know it was time to leave/ how did you leave? Backstory: since the get go we have had a long sprints, a terrible account manager, and a cd who won’t support us or advocate for us. We are burnt out but when we raise our hand we just get yelled at and told everyone is dealing with this. How do we escape?
I just moved to the US and got the Chase Sapphire Preferred credit card. Now I am seeing amazing bonus point offers from different cards. Is there any harm in opening 2-3 cards at once?
Damn. Was lucky enough to land an interview. The interview went numerous rounds, it was super positive, so then I decided I would be 100% honest about something I wasn’t good at, in hopes of being clear that I was ready to grow. Then I got ghosted, and I think it’s because of the said honesty. Feeling low and stupid for ever admitting a “fault” in an interview instead of just telling them that I’m perfect.
I am applying for jobs atm, and someone from an agency told me as an advice: “Don’t just say you’re a copywriter, say you’re hybrid or digital or whatever, the future of CW is dead”. Do you agree?
Rent is month to month - thinking about cutting lease and staying at my parents’ house (it’s completely vacant) on the opposite coast. Think remote work will last long enough for this to make sense?
Any daycare tips and tricks? My baby will be 5 months when starting daycare / me going back to work
Does anyone else feel like they’re consistently having to prove themselves every day? I don’t mean usual “trying to go above and beyond at work” I mean the nagging feeling that you might get fired if you don’t accomplish every email task or chat request that may or may not be directed to you. Constantly anxious at this job.
What are companies doing to support working parents during Covid? Am particularly interested in what consulting firms are doing.
If a company gives me my interviewer’s name days before my interview, do I do anything with that info?
What strategy/planning opportunities exist client side at the junior/mid-level? All that I’m seeing are 5+ yrs. I’m not eager to go client side but will be and need to make the case for agency work.

I currently have an offer for Citi as a Lead Cyber Investigator position & I was just granted an interview w/ Amazon as a security engineer - operations. Citi pretty much gave me everything I’m asking for, but I feel like the Amazon would be a great opportunity for me, but also the timing may be way too long to wait while already having an offer? What would be the best way to approach this?
Watched a consultant lose his f’ng mind this week at a W hotel for his room being too close to elevator. I guarantee he will be getting that room next week too
For anyone who is in the Financial Services niche for audit, do you think fund admin at a 20%-25% pay bump is a good exit move as you hit senior? My firm has some solid clients and decent exposure but we’re forced to work on Employee Benefit Plans in the summer and I feel that hinders professional growth
Does anyone have any insight into how easy it is to jump from one omnicom agency to another, via applying internally?
Any gov consulting firms actively hiring in dc? I have a buddy who just graduated with his MBA but didn't go through consulting recruitment. Veteran + worked on the hill. Fishbowlburnerdallas@gmail.com
