15% in a non promo year is great what you mean! My first year I was a tier 1 and only got 8%

likesmart

Same as EY2. Before SM years, not sure I had a raise less than 13% - 15% at EY.

When I was at KPMG and given my 3% interim raise, I asked about the fact KPMG was below market and their reply was we “researched this” that said, KPMG pay’s seniors in the mid 70s and PwC now the high 80s. There is almost a 20k market difference.

Today they gave everyone a 20% raise in Assurance at PwC…Btw PwC is hiring and they doubled the referral bonus too, anyone need a referral lmfao…

@EY 4 a lot of 2 year promo’s now but I hear you about how rough it is at PwC coming in as an Associate… wasn’t not my route for sure. (KPMG A2–>PwC S1)

EY will find a way to screw this up, I guarantee it

Not having a payout hurt the people at top the most, but honestly I don’t feel that bad. At that salary you should more than enough saved up to live comfortably, and I see it as a bit of payback for those late night “pls fix” emails

KPMG always underwhelms. They’re in the last of the pack in terms of wanting to increase comp. But as others have noted, a ton of people including myself have left this year so will be interesting to see what plays out.

I’ve been running into weird happenings at my new firm learn of everything “I misunderstood” about my package. I don’t actually qualify for quarterly bonuses at a pro-rated billing rate; no 401ks till year 2; and the biggest—we don’t qualify for a raise unless we are here during the entire fiscal year. We have a 2100 billable req which I’m barely hitting. We also get paid below 6 figures. I learned that the new associates came is at least $10k over us. I graduated 2020–but 1st firm job. Advice?

So something crazy happened to me last week. I was at the airport, and as usual on call after call. The check in line was going ridiculously slowly and at some point turned threw my hands up in frustration while looking around to find another place to check in. In doing so, I catch the eye of the behind me. He smiles and says something. I just sort of nod and carry on with my call. After that, he keeps trying to talk to me, eventually I got to the check, say bye and leave. At security… tbc
