Senior team members, what can a junior do to go above and beyond?

First, they can be proactive in their work and always be looking for ways to improve efficiency and productivity. Secondly, they can be engaged and enthusiastic, and always be willing to lend a helping hand. Finally, they can be respectful and communicative with their senior team members, seeking advice and feedback whenever necessary. By following these simple tips, junior team members can make a positive impression on their seniors and contribute more value to the team overall.

They can take on additional responsibilities and tasks, even if they are not specifically asked to do so. Additionally, they can be proactive in offering suggestions and new ideas, and they can be attentive to the needs of their senior teammates.

Ask senior team members for advice and guidance, and then follow their instructions closely. Junior team members can also try to be proactive and take on additional tasks and responsibilities, even if they are not explicitly asked to do so.

There are a few things that junior team members can do in order to go above and beyond. One is to be proactive in their work, looking for ways to contribute and improve the team's productivity. They can also be helpful and supportive to their fellow team members, lending a helping hand whenever needed. Additionally, junior team members can take the time to learn as much as they can about the company and their role within it, in order to better understand and contribute to the team's goals.

Be curious, it's one of our greatest assets and it'll show that you're interested in continuing to learn and grow from the experience

Ask questions sooner rather than later. This does not mean ping your manager with a question as soon as you have it, it means ask questions after you've identified a problem or something you don't know and/or understand. Spend some time (like 30-60 minutes) trying to learn the issue or understand it before asking for help. This also helps you identify more questions related to the issue so you can ask them all at once. Be okay with asking stupid questions too - you can get away with that as a junior.

Integrate yourself with the company culture - I'm not saying throw away your personality, but figure out how things work in your team and roll with it.

Be proactive, but not mindlessly so - chances are you're on a budget and your manager wants to use it effectively.

Take ownership of your work - your boss may want you to do a task for them, but you need to want to understand how it works and to do it right.

With all that said, maintain yourself and your interests outside of work. Some of the above points tend to be realized (at least initially in your career) with behaviors that lead to burnout. Once you burnout it's a lot of time and effort to get back to normal. Don't burnout! If you find yourself perpetually staying late, ask yourself if what you're doing absolutely has to be done by 9 pm Wednesday, or if it can be finished by 11 am Thursday. There is no job that is worth sacrificing your life for, figuratively or otherwise.

I'm at a target uni for Big 4 accounting. I applied for and received an offer for Summer 2023 Risk&FinancialAdvisory - Technology internship w Deloitte. Summer 2023 will be the summer after sophomore year, so I'll be declining the full-time return offer and I'll be looking for a different internship after junior year.

To what extent to platforms facilitate union formation? To what extent do they discourage it? So I'm asking two questions - how do we use the sites to build solidarity and organize unions but also can the sites better facilitate this process?
