How many PTO/Vacation days do you usually take off a year if your employer offers unlimited PTO/Vacation days?

The sheer volume of work is exhausting and I haven’t taken a true vacation as we are a small company so if something urgent comes to my email I feel like I must respond. I was given an additional title and more responsibilities last year as well but only a 3% raise for it.

I'm 6 months old at D! Planning early promotion next year.. counselor and pm both are backing me.. I need to go to India for at least 4 weeks in Dec ... most probably would be rolling off from current project by then .. would this vacation hurt my promotion chances coz of utilization etc?

The price right now is $26. I would get in and gradually increase by a multiple of 9 and hold until at least Dec 2021
