I’m currently an associate (no kids) in a very busy corp group (think 50-60 billable weekly). My wife works significantly less (currently part time, 10-15, but hopefully will be full time soon). I find myself getting upset when asked to help with basic household things (trash, cooking etc.) when she’s been lounging around watching Netflix all day. Am I being reasonable or am I a misogynist? How do you deal with one person having significantly more free time than the other?

Hey everyone. I found out we are expecting our first child and I’m really nervous. I got into consulting one year ago and I’m up for promotion this year. With timing of our performance conversations I would have to inform I’m pregnant before outcomes - then shortly after the promotion effective date I would go on a leave for due date. Other than the cars, they dont really spend money. For the married 🐠, how do you have the conversation with them that what they are doing isn’t enough? I am SAP HCM consultant having 4.10 years of experience. I feel that this module doesn’t have any growth. My first switch took me to 9LPA from 6LPA and now the second switch is being offered for 11.5LPA where I can see my fellow friends in SAP having more than 15LPA at the same experience on their second switch itself. Should I be worried about my skillset? Any insights would highly be appreciated. I feel stuck.

Subs! Internal subbing is draining the life out of teachers. The sub schedule comes out at the last minute bc of so many teacher absences. It’s the split classes in one period (1/2 Gen Ed and a Special Ed class) Teachers on a cart. Subs pick up students and deliver students. Class changeovers take 10 minutes bc of the domino effect. We’re all waiting for next sub. Teachers are late for their own classes. Students are in chaos with rotating subs. We pay $100 a day. Is the Solution in plain sight?

It has taken me well over a week and a half to feel like a human again this break. 3 days left and I feel simultaneously like I’m getting shorted and grateful that I had the time to have my breakdown off-the-clock. When do you go back and are you feeling ready?
