How dystopian that the Christmas spirit is delivered by artificial intelligence…at least it generates conversation, that’s what marketing is about today.
But did you catch the AI screw up of their logo on the truck with Coca-COOLa???
I saw that earlier, that’s pretty cool!
I hadn’t seen that but that’s really cool!
I have yet to see the Coke commercial, but I've heard pretty mixed reviews. I think a lot of the buzz about it being AI just agitates people. And really, people have been using CGI for ages, and a lot of this AI stuff is really just that with an extra kick. I guess we're now full in an era where everything has to be called AI.
For me, the ire comes from the fact that CGI employs artists to render and design the imagery. Good or bad, the imagery is intentionally crafted with various touchpoints while visual AI draws from manmade art to create immediate amalgamations that correspond to strategic prompts.
There's a lack of human connection and career fear associated. This emphasizes that many of the employees who would have been working on this campaign weren't needed and may not be in the future, that businesses are embracing AI on a massive scale, and that consumers aren't just seeing AI as a novelty but as a viable way to produce adverts.
It's fascinating, but it comes with implications and potential consequences.
I loved the ad. Made me fell nostalgic about seeing the original when I was a kid. Had no idea it was done by AI
