I am the in-house Marketing and Events Manager for a PE firm. Would love to know what others make salary wise? A lot of firms contract out.

30K signing bonus in an offer from a higher ranked firm…am I crazy to go back to my firm to see if they will match it. I don’t want to leave, just want the extra $$.

Hi all, I am a 4th year chemistry PHD student (International/Indian) and will surely finish in about a year, around Aug23. It can work for pharma (Merck, Pfizer, GSK etc.) as a scientist. I had to rescind my acceptance to an offer at EY back in April because I had a medical issue present for a surgery and I didn’t want to complicate things with time off and changes in insurance and such since it was a scary process in and of itself. I’m healing faster than expected now though, and EY said to reach out if things change but that’s probably standard language. Is it likely that I could get them to re-send an offer? I still see postings for the role online.

Which Big 4 firms have unlimited PTO?

Question for my friend at KPMG. Her MDs and Partners have been directing her to eat her hours. If she charges over 45 hours she will get emails from management and when she charges over 65 she got a call from a PPMD. I work at deloitte and have never been told to do this and thought it honestly was illegal. Thoughts? It doesn’t seem right that she’s having to eat those hours and feel scared when she’s working til 10/12 every night.
