In this job climate, I'd wait. Don't give reason to shake up what you have. In the meantime, list all projects, big and small, new and different, and what you've gone above and beyond. Be detailed. Feel it out for six months. Things will change in the new year.

I’ve got 8 years experience, work at a small, hot creative agency in NYC and will be promoted to CD soon. One of my senior managers is a boomerang and told me she was laid off when she was 7 months pregnant about 10 years ago. I think she was a senior or manager. She was in a specific group and everybody was laid off. It wasn’t performance based.

Would you work at your company again if you were laid off?

Any Financial Solutions Advisors out there? What is the pay like and how do you like your job?
I currently work as an Investment Solutions Rep at Fidelity making $55k plus about $12-15k in bonuses. A recruiter reached out about the FSA position and it sounds like a sizeable raise, but is it an enjoyable position? What exactly do you do? How difficult are the metrics?

Is it a red flag to not use your current employer as a reference or would this not be noticed? I have other references I want to use who I think can better attest to my skills for the job but don’t want it to raise any questions.

"Depends on performance" seems to be a very vague answer.
Can someone please elaborate on a better answer.

Also, Can someone shed some light on promotions?

Is there any policy, like you have to work for X years to be eligible for promotion etc.

Thanks in advance.

Which offer should I accept? Currently staff 2 at big 4 in Tax with CPA license. I want to leave tax ASAP. Both are public companies +1B in revenue and same salary. Offer 1 - staff revenue accountant so reading contracts, speaking with the sales team and legal team, a lot of work at the end of the months to close books and reconcile transactions to make sure we are ASC 606 compliant. This track usually leads to director of revenue. Offer 2 - internal audit staff so SOX and compliance projects.
