The fundamental difference is the PowerPoint template. Rest everything is the same.
Didn’t want to include KPMG? They actually pay better than some of the firms you mentioned. I know for a fact because when I left Accenture I interviewed and had offers from all 4 and KPMG gave me and other colleagues the best offers and benefits.
Post college and experienced hire offers may be different. Also depends on if tax, advisory, audit, what undergrad etc...
They are more alike than different.
I had offers from 3 of the 4 (not including EY) and purposely chose KPMG. Money was all the same, benefits whatever, but it came down to work life balance and culture (although that’s changing). If I was going to enter consulting I wanted to ensure some respect for my personal life to keep my sanity and KPMG does strive to give you that (at least within my specific practice).
Deloitte never spun off Consulting like the others after Arther Anderson debacle... many of our practices will be more mature than others. Not all, but many.
If you’re looking for highest pay, it’s either us or Parthenon.
Legacy Booz practice gets some really sexy strategy gigs from time to time.
S&/Parthenon have very rigid pay cohorts. It’s ~200-220K TC right out of MBA/ 2-3 yrs Post-UG
It's quite well recognized that the SM experience at Deloitte is rough and probably gets quite political. This isn't the case at lower levels though, and in my experience Ms and up are supportive and coaching towards their juniors. Still, big place, YMMV
Are you coming out of school or an experienced hire, OP?
