Hello, I'm looking at a position within Paypal. My question, what is the work life balance, expectation for office (hybrid/remote/other) and is the pay comparable to other companies? Reviewing Director and Senior Director roles on the business side. I have over 15 years experience with multiple degrees. TIA!

If you have a complex medical history, it’s almost always advisable to take the most expensive policy available… typically it comes with lower deductibles and out of pocket maximums… that can save you thousands of dollars on the back end…
If you’re a healthy individual and don’t need a doctors care besides your annual physical, then you should go with a high deductible, high out of pocket maximum plan…
Things become a little more complicated if you’re dealing with family plans… I have a boy, 5, and a girl, 3… my son always breaks, falls, or hurts something… I have a complex medical history… my wife is super healthy and my daughter is afraid to do anything that involves the possibility of being hurt… so we do the high deductible plan… but we are very high income, so we can afford the out of pocket costs, and max out our family HSA… but if we were moderate income, I would probably go with the low deductible plan…
So it’s not only about the deductions that come out of your paycheck… there’s nuances that you need to consider as well…

So the therapists are virtual but my PCP is in person for my annual checkups, if I get sick or ill or need to get a referral, and the closest one is 7-10 miles from me for aetna.. kaiser is only 2-3 miles but the therapists aren’t great w kaiser. A HDHP means i pay all out of pocket which would suck

Check dental. Aetna always has poor dental options or you need to spend more as an add-on.
Health insurance has gotten much worse and basically, has become catastrophic car coverage (better than nothing, but not really of much use).

Our dental is with another provider, cigna, so it’s just healthcare that I’m worried about
I personally like Kaiser so far. It makes things simple and easy because everything, insurance, doctors, pharmacy are under the same roof.
Though if I had to see a bunch of specialists, I’m not sure I would like it because you’re limited to only their doctors.
