Hey everyone, I got a call from Deloitte recruiting on Wednesday of last week discussing salary requirements and location. They told me that the team really liked me and that they were going to work on an offer. I got a call on Friday saying one group has approved the offer but they are waiting on others. I haven’t heard much since then. Should I be worried? How much longer will I have to wait?

I don’t think it’s this simple - you almost need a 4 square with each of these.
When I was in a start up - leadership quality, flexibility and career growth made up for compensation.
Now I’m in corporate compensation and flexibility are bigger retention pieces, but both are limited. Leadership quality would be nice but we’re “too busy” and “need more billable hours” to mentor or develop proper career pathing.
Flexibility in our modern world is an awesome perk, career growth and mentorship/leader quality is great for personal development and growth - but I think compensation is still the big one.
At the start up we used to upskill people to leave and go where they wanted or to earn more, but stay and build if they could deal with a modestly lower salary and a kick ass culture.
It’s what you value most in your current season of life and career.
