Why is it the more senior I get the more micromanaged I am? I have an EVP who dictates bullets to me and takes over all work and then plays the martyr. It’s mentally and physically exhausting.

What’s the best way to deal with a partner that prefers working solo? For context, this writer I work with conceptualizes by himself, emails the Account team, gives deep input, and makes decisions for us without consulting with me (his “partner”) most of the time. It also says to accept within 3 days and a clause is written that joining date can be revised only till 5 days. Will ibm revise my joining date ? Ever had one of those days where everything is just making you cringe so bad, to the point all you want to do is sit on the ground and cry?
