Wife and I are expecting - she currently has her own insurance through her current employer. She is planning to quit soon to be a SAHM to our first born and the one on the way. I’m on the EY HDHP with our oldest - will likely switch to a higher level of coverage when my wife quits and joins my plan (qualifying life event). Any chance she’ll be denied coverage for the pregnancy / birth by EY?

Its also considered a life event when there is a loss of insurance. Best to call your own HR and ask this question

She will not be denied Coverage for pregnancy. ALSO - you cannot change plans for a qualifying event! You can only add her to your existing plan unless EY has some special arrangement, that’s not how it works (I was at a big 4 with the same situation)... be prepared!

I can tell you with certainty you will have to remain on the high deductible plan.

Wow…covid is really over. I live in a rural area where we knew covid was happening but it never really impacted the community or daily life. However when I’d go into the city it was very very obvious there were huge life impacts and fear. I just went into the city for the first time in about 3 months and it’s like covid never happened. It makes me wonder how many other things that have drastically changed (like wfh and hand sanitizer) will go back to normal as people go back to normal.

I have a question for my fellow PI paralegals in Texas. TPCIGA requires that we submit all medical bills through the clients insurance before proceeding further. The client in question has Aetna. Healthcare corporations… please note you have more then 1 shift of workers. You have 3 most times, each shift has to be treated equally. This is and always have been an issue, and you cannot figure out why the other shifts refuse to be active and participate in anything and definitely not engaged anymore.
