How is FAC-P/PM different from a PMP certification?

How hard is ITIL 4 foundation exam compared to PMP and AWS CCP? Debating whether I should take training classes or just study the book. Ty!

PMP certification actually useful at all? Or only makes you mildly more appealing for program / project manager jobs? I’m in finance consulting and looking for good certs plus opinions on PMP if it’s worth getting

What are your feelings on Scrum Master certifications? I’m currently a lean six sigma black belt but want to understand and get certified in the Scrum world. I will be getting my PMP after I finish my MBB but I also want to extend my aptitude into IT.

Does anyone have an experience transitioning from fund management (specifically structured products/capital markets) to project management? I was looking at scrum/PMP certifications to put me in more of a leadership role. quite frankly I’m burnt out managing client funds.

Benefits to scrum or PMP certifications as a low level Associate? All the positions I see require 5+ years scrum experience. Also would appreciate people’s perspectives on scrum vs PMP in general. I’m a people person and quite good at leadership so I feel my talents are being wasted managing client direction on funds day to day.

A new SC who is currently obtaining their MBA. Currently has 4 YoE from industry and will have 1 YoE as SC at completion of MBA. Would a PMP really add much value in B4, MBB, boutiques, etc…? If not PMP, what other certs have individuals found beneficial to their careers. To specify, FSO practice.

Hey All, just wanted to inquire if there other joining through the sane situation. Got laid off in 2019, then Covid hit and changed the world. Since then I’ve been a stay at home dad trying to get back in the workforce. I obtained my PMP in April and revamped my resume so I can apply for project manager jobs. Been trying to change my job for 9 months now. I am a Project Manager in construction for life sciences. I have 4.5 years of experience, a PMP certificate, a masters degree in project management. I am trying to change industries. I applied for 350+ jobs in the past 9 months. Not a single call or interview. I reviewed and changed my resume 3 times and sought professional review and consulting. Any advice or referral?

Does anyone have recommendations for who to speak with about next steps in my career? Or questions I need to ask myself? I love my current role and have a lot to look forward to in the near future, but I know this is not my forever company. I can’t decide if getting my MBA, PMP, or if I want to stay in my current industry or current type of role would be what I want. Should I just focus on what I have going? Anyone in here gotten their PMP certification? I have a potential employer telling me they will hire me as a PM if I get the cert (a massive step up from my current position). I’m an MHA student and I have project management experience from 1 yr of job experience and a few years of being a volunteer coordinator in school, not sure if that will count towards the required hours, the potential employer said it should. Any recommendations?

I have a bachelors, a Project Management Professional (PMP), and working on my Masters in Management - Project Management and Professional Scrum Master 1 (PSM-1). I plan to get an internship through the skillbridge program offered by the DOD.

What can I do to successfully transition into a consulting firm like Deloitte and come on as a consultant or second tier at other companies?
