Hey guys I’m a business comp sci major with experience in consultancy, engineering and marketing whilst pursuing my pmp. I’ve always dreamed in working in nuclear facilities. Eventually would love to scale into companies with nuclear reactors. Any advice to develop myself and get into such an industry.

I've got my PMP and am looking for a company with a good work/life balance, employees are happy, has competitive pay, and that allows remote. I've been focusing on Capital One, but am interested in learning of other companies that meet all these desires.

Is getting a PMP still worth it if you’re in industry?

As 16 YOE in majorly tech (Oracle plsql unix) and support leadership(prod support) roles, is it ok to pursue PMP or Azure architect certification? Which will be good for overall career growth in tech leadership roles? I am inclined towards cloud tech but not sure about job opportunities without experience in same. Any thoughts? #ProjecrManager #azureCloud

Is 3 years of work experience too young to get the PMP when they technically ask for at least 3 years of "Directing/leading projects"? Or is that requirement broadly interpreted/not really strict?

I have over 15 YOE with 10 in healthcare. Stints at Big 4, BAH and Optum. MBA/PMP which has pigeonholed me into these roles.

Hi! Wondering if it is still with the $$ to get certified in Lean Six Sigma Black Belt? I have my PMP and a MPH— but wondering if LSSBB is going to make much of a difference to hiring managers? Is this just a thing of the 90’s and early 2000’s or are companies still looking for folks with these credentials?

Anyone have recommendations for someone looking to start in project management coming from clinical healthcare? I’ve hd a lot of responsibility in my current role outside of patient care(quality improvement projects, event coordination, project management of a team) but never an actual “on paper” project management role. Wondering about courses, ways to get started as a PM. (PMP vs. Agile, etc)

I’m currently a Project Manager I’m a hospital. I have been working in the healthcare field ever since I graduated from undergrad. I then went on to get my masters in healthcare administration. Now roughly 10 years later I’m ready to breakout of the healthcare field. If anyone has any advice as to how to switch industries, it will be greatly appreciated. Current Manager at Big4 looking to move to another Big4. 12 years of DoD experience, Secret clearance, CDFM and PMP. What’s a reasonable salary range for GPS practices in the DC metro area?

I have been a PM at my company for 2 years now, with a years prior experience as associate PM. I got promoted before my certification, but was told if I did not get a PMP or ACP I would get my promotion taken away.
Received the ACP and have not seen a raise. Now we have a girl that is getting a 15k raise and going straight from Project coordinator to PM (with one year experience) and no certification. She will now be 5k less than me. If she gets CaPM she gets a 5k raise. Wong to feel slighted?
