Just got an offer to upgrade my Amex Gold to Platinum with a 100k point bonus (spend $6k in 6 months). Is this worth it to upgrade to platinum? Would you do it

I want to get a joint credit card with my SO. She currently has the AMEX gold. I have chase sapphire reserve. We want to keep our own individually, but want a join one. Which should we do? Would love to open another reserve under both our names because of travel rewards but we would be paying like $1000 per year in fees for three cards. Any ideas?

Looking for a referral to Amex!

Been using the Delta Platinum Amex for a years. I travel for work, but not often enough to justify the Delta Reserve. Right now, my wife has the same card, but it’s on my account. Almost every purchase we make is on the card, so we take a few flights with miles and the companion pass each year. Thinking about splitting our accounts just to get another Delta Platinum, get a big mile bonus, and then we’ll have two companion passes between the two of us each year. Anyone done this? Alternatives?

AMEX Platinum Card: is it worth it? For someone who travels internationally 2-3 times a year.

Has anyone ever used travel insurance provided with Amex platinum UK as a proof of travel insurance for Schengen visa?

I’m currently VP of Sales and Marketing at a commercial insurance brokerage in New York, basically I do everything except write the checks. I am looking to move into a more structured role that is less isolating in marketing, strategy, something like that at a larger company in a structured role. I have my eyes on companies like AmEx or JP Morgan. Does anyone have advice or a connection? I am great with data, marketing, pitching and presentation, but I can’t get an interview outside of insurance

Just used a meaningful amount of AMEX points for the first time to buy flights to Greece for my wife and I. Emirates business class both ways for 2 people, 290k pts total or 145k each way for 2 tickets. Plus another 30k to get us round trip domestic connecting flights bringing the total to 320 points. This is on the 777 which isn’t the best business class product out there, but I’ve never flown international outside of coach and think it will still be worthwhile. Think this is an OK redemption?

How is the work culture in Amex? Is it like u have to hve good tuning with seniors to get any recognition/promotions? Or is it more.performabce based?

Firm issues an Amex and I can opt into their points scheme but can also use personal card instead. Newbie here, what’s a good credit card for travel. Starting new job that requires a bit of travel and I’ll be expensing it / being reimbursed. I know I’ll eventually want to get Pre-check. From what I could found it looks like Amex Platinum, chase sapphire or platinum and or the capital one venture card would be my best option. Anyone have personal experience with these cards? Pros and cons
