I got through multiple rounds of interviews for a job and didn’t get moved forward. It’s a Sr job and I’m Sr level. I asked for feedback on the interview process and was told there wasn’t anything specific, I made it far and did well.

It made me wonder if asking for interview feedback after Sr level interviews is really appropriate? Should I be far enough in my career that I don’t need that specific feedback?

Just got ripped to shreds in a meeting. Someone is informational interviewing me in an hour. Trying to stay positive about the industry 🙃

Headhunter brought agency oppty. Did well in interviews. All of a sudden: ghosted. Reached out to headhunter: they don’t have updates. Is it because the agency ghosted them? Or are they stalling me to see if another candidate works better? Should I try to reach out to the agency POC directly (CC’ing headhunter)?

Have an interview tomorrow, but it's for a client side creative / marketing department. Should I anticipate the interview questions to be vastly different to those that I'd usually receive in an agency interview?

Hello there, i’m wondering if anyone on this group has experience opening your own agency? I was laid off in April and had been freelancing ever since. I have been luck enough getting a few projects without really seeking people out while slowly interviewing. In the back of my mind I have always wanted my own agency. How do you get more clients and dealing with the sales/pitching process on your own? also as WOC i don’t feel like have the right network to tap into for higher earning projects

What’s the best interview advice you’ve been given?

Applied for a job on LinkedIn a month ago. Never heard anything. A recruiter reached out a week ago for the same job. I killed the interview and got an offer. I am so pissed off that my salary has to be reduced because the employer was too lazy or didn’t want to or didn’t have time to vet applicants. It’s infuriating and souring the offer for me.

How many people typically make it to onsite interviews?

I had a second round of interviews last Tuesday. Felt good and followed up with the recruiter afterward. Since then, radio silence.

Tomorrow is one week. What’s my move?

I am interviewing for a new role and often get asked about a few clients/projects that I did not manage or work on in a day to day capacity. As the department head I gave my team a lot of autonomy to lead their projects, and outside of weekly check ins, I only got involved during RFP stage and when issues came up. Had an interview where the agency said they don't do "junior / mid / senior" levels in their creative department.

My CW and I are st that stage where that seniority is important for us and for our future progression. Is it one of those things that we fight for on the contract, or just sign anyway and just put "senior creative" on our LI title?

Hi! Question on hiring, After a day of interview with hiring manager, which apparently went well got reply back on Thank you note as well. But just saw the job post status as ‘promoted’ on LinkedIn for the same position I interviewed for, is it a bad sign? Or am I just over thinking? :(

Tips on maintaining a positive attitude at a job you can’t stand? I hate my current place, but I don’t want to leave yet because of the state of everything. I feel bad even applying when I know other people are actually unemployed and need those jobs.

When recruiting, why not start with the money talk?? Why do recruiters make you go through all the hoops and all the interviews and THEN talk about the comp? Seems like it’s the first box to check to make sure it’s even a match. Ugh.

So I interviewed with an agency pre pandemic but of course rona put everything on hold. They really liked me according to an inside source.
