Took a role at a family office last year working directly for a billionaire. Really regretting it now because I trusted his “discretionary bonus” and got screwed on comp (20% bonus despite good review - he doesn’t want to pay market). I don’t see a future working here and have been interviewing for a few months but it’s hard to make my way back to an institutional firm. I feel sick every day I go into work because I think I’ve derailed my career. 6 YOE with prior exp at a well-known SM HF.

Expected compensation/Sign on bonus for Deloitte Consulting SM? currently interviewing and trying to get an idea of what i can shoot for. Currently SM at Acn 225k(base) with 13 YoE/ NY if that matters. thanks

Experienced hire Manager here, informed before Christmas that I’ll be taking another lap but not because of performance (5/5 on scats and all operating at next level) or metrics (22mm in MR) but the only reason is I need more time in the “saddle”… During this time, I’ve been replying to recruiters and after a PPMD interview last week, I was offered an SM role at a smaller firm with a base pay increase of 45% (225k) over my current salary. Very much considering this… thoughts?

Anyone had a FAANG company try to mislead you in applying for a role you’re overqualified for, hoping you’ll jump just for the name? I was approached by Apple for a channel sales role. I made it clear that I have been a senior manager in the past, and wouldn’t take a more junior position than that. The recruiter said the seniority can be defined later, and we should just talk. Anyone interviewed for the AMEX SPG (Strategic planning group) Senior Manager Position? Would appreciate any insight into the interview process. The only guidance I have from HR is 1 technical and 1 behavioral interview each 45 min long.

Let's talk exit interviews. I'm leaving my firm as a second year senior manager for specific reasons. Let those issues be known in the exit interview or just let them know I appreciated my time and took an offer for better pay?

Kpmg 🐠- I have 15 years of direct experience and interviewing. Firm says I am at manager level but I am aiming for director. Have been M at Deloitte and an SM doing internal consutling for F15 company. Should I accept an M level role? Just want to get feedback. Thanks

Anyone from Deloitte or any similar big four firm exit to Capital One as a senior manager or a director? I’ve been applying to roles and getting nothing back. Seven years of experience in the cyber security field and two years at a big four. Also just redid my résumé as well. I would love any referrals or a point in the right direction. @Capital One

Went through the 3 rounds interview (Case/Technical/Behavioral). Couple weeks later recruiter said they liked me but have no project for me yet then set me up for another technical interview with SM which went great. Wondering how much longer would I be interviewing and if this is all a good sign. TYI

Feeling down. I've interviewed for probably 12 positions (mostly Senior Manager level), and always getting rejected. Is this normal? I do try and ask for feedback, and sometimes they give saying that there just isn't the right fit for your skillset at this time. If so, then why did you interview me? #frustrated

Had an interview with EY last Friday. During the interview, the SM mentioned that if the interviewers (SM and M in my case) were still unsure about giving offer, we would do another interview with the partner. Today I was told that I’d have a call with partner next week. So not sure if this is a good or bad sign 🥲 The recruiter said that the interview would be “conversational” so it seems slightly less formal. Has anyone had similar experience?

Have EY last round (I believe) next week. Recruiter blocked out time from 11-11:45 but invite has 2 people (a partner and SM) on it. Should I assume 2 people are interviewing me at once and it’s not 2 separate interviews?

I had 3 interviews back to back with PWC last Friday. First 2 interviewers were directors, they were on time and conversation went great. The third interview was with senior manager. When I logged in the video call he joins and let’s me know he will be 15 min late to attend client meeting. He joins back after 15 min and fires questions without letting me complete the answers. It left a bad taste because the 15min interview seemed hurried. Should I let recruiter know about this experience?

Hi folks, need some advice choosing between offers received from Accenture, Deloitte and Wipro. Role level is similar at senior manager equivalent (similar level as my current role). Accenture and Deloitte offering 20% raise and Wipro about 30% plus they have higher bonus component so pay wise Wipro has highest offer.

Deloitte and Accenture had very long interview process and especially Deloitte which took too long. Slightly confused what will be good for me. I am into technology consulting.

I have a final round interview with EYP for SaT this Friday (two 30 minute interview with senior manager and partner). This would be my 4th and 5th interview total. What should I expect? Would this be similar to the first three?

I’ve been through 5+ weeks of interviews with a company that will IPO next year and they did a bait and switch on me with the offer: it was advertised as “Head of” and then during the offer-walk-through-meeting today they said “oh btw we changed the title to ‘Senior Manager’ for this role”. They offered me a salary I made 4 years ago as a manager. They offered stock options with an exercise price TBD 1 year from now…which is when they’re hitting IPO. Is that normal for stock options?

EY 🐠, is it normal to have only 2 interviews and get an offer after a week? I have had 2 b2b interviews in one day, both went great with a SM and M. I think I am fairly under qualified for the position but received an offer. Any thoughts on lack of communication with the recruiter, yet receiving an offer? If anyone is willing to DM I can provide more details and seek further feedback
