I wasn’t offered a relocation nor signing bonus in my initial offer for a senior analyst position at a ratings agency. Isn’t it abnormal? Should I ask for it and if so, how much?

What is notice period in EY GDS for advanced analyst/ staff position ?

Analyst got laid off from Accenture due to COVID, asked to reapply to a specific role that got cancelled due to COVID leaving me with a 4 month gap. Unemployed now and looking to make ends meet. Penn State 2017 grad in biz/IO psych, graduated after psych program at Yale to working in healthcare tech/IO/fin tech brand strategy, worked in client facing Wall St based investment management and Accenture working directly w leads on RFP/SOW scope/resource mngmt/financials. Grateful for any help/advice

Advice for a Cyber consultant looking to do Product Marketing or Product Analyst role? I’ve been in a BA role for 2.5 years looking with a business undergrad degree.

I currently work as a Data Analyst and have the option to move up to either a Data Manager (DM) or a Data Engineer (DE) role. Both roles are individual contributor positions, and I wouldn't be managing any people in either role.

Assuming all other things equal, would it be harder for me to now take the DM role and then try to go to a DE role, or would it be harder to take the DE role now and move to a DM role later? Worried mostly about the skills I'd build and how recruiters would see it.

Hoping to get some thoughts on the below options:
Current: Consultant at Economic Consulting firm (~$115K all in) with likely promotion in Spring 2021. Don't love the specific type of consulting I'm doing (niche and not what I want to be doing long term)
Alternative #1: Valuation analyst (so not client facing) at top PE firm. Role would be based in NYC (~$110K all in)
Alternative #2: Consultant for boutique strategy consulting firm (final round this week; research indicates range of $150-190K)

Emily Murphy is like the “Data Analyst” who keeps ignoring data requests because she knows her division and position is going to get restructured.

If I leave big 4 audit after 2 busy seasons to a senior accounting analyst position in industry (heavy focus on operational accounting and analysis) and later (1-2 years later) decide it’s not for me, could I go back to big 4 to do TAS or am I way better off staying in audit for 1-2 more years and be miserable to switch to TAS?

SOC analyst to consulting

For those with previous SOC analyst experience and are now in some consulting capacity, how critical and transferable would you say the technical skills gained from analysis are when moving to a consulting role? What area are you consulting in now?

Do you cold email/LinkedIn message people in groups/roles that have open positions if they have no connection to you? Like would it be worthwhile to hot up a Corp Dev manager if there is a Corp Dev analyst/associate role open, but I didn't go to the same school or a have a similar background?

Would you accept an offer from a direct competitor for a 20% bump & promotion from analyst to associate manager if that role was a 12 month contract? (assuming it’s a T2 in tech ae. Salesforce, Adobe, etc)

Anyone have any experience with being on the hiring team of a technical analyst (i.e. giving out a modelling test and grading it)?

How long did it take you to grade the models and give candidates an answer on whether or not they moved onto the next round?

Any tips for someone in Cyber consulting shooting for a business analyst role in industry?

Interviewing for a Knowledge Analyst role @ BCG. Have been at mid-tier firm in a client-facing, consulting role for 2 years and plan to pursue MBA eventually. Is it worth sacrificing client-facing work for the BCG brand pre-MBA? My hope is that post-MBA I could switch back to BCG’s consulting side, but I fear that is wishful thinking.

Later last night was digging and come to find out it’s a SEC Reporting Analyst role, nothing like what I want and the duties are totally different.
