Ex-B4 managers, anyone took a lower position (e.g non-supervisory analyst) to get out of public accounting or to try out a different role? What was your experience? Anything you wouldn’t done differently?

Which companies would hire a consulting analyst with less than 2 YOE? I honestly would not hire one if I were in a hiring position, but curious where people go to since it seems like consulting experience is valued for some reason.

Friend of a friend is a senior partner at MM PE fund and wrote emails to the VPs running interviews, recommending me as a "very strong candidate" for an associate role. I'm supposed to set up time with the VPs next week to introduce myself. How should handle this calI? "Hi - here's my background, call me if you're hiring?" don't think they're going to hire me without transaction experience. Fake it until you make it? Maybe propose coming in as an analyst if they say no?

I would be relocating to San Antonio so I would like to have time to explore the city but am worried that work life balance may become an issue (being that it is a consulting role)

Help... I have an analyst on my account who is the project manager.... 2 years at firm.... but, often doesn't produce an agenda (making me scramble) and then on other calls doesn't take notes? Or share screen? She also schedules calls without asking resulting in time wasted and me asking "did you ask if this time worked for everyone?.... and she didnt ask... and they didn't accept either). We've already talked to her about her role - setting up calls, taking notes, etc. 😑🤯 wtf......

Feeling pretty lost on what im working towards.... currently succeeding as a business analyst in implementation, but really don’t enjoy the work. Seems like there is good money If I keep on the business analyst track. Just not sure what other areas a business analyst could pivot to, as even the good money isn’t a big enough reason to keep growing in this role. Good reviews, praise from client, etc. but just not looking to continue this path. Any suggestions?
